Ol' School Series

The Ol' School series is made with high quality Alnico V magnets, heavy formvar 42 AWG pickup wire to achieve the true voicing of the era and cloth vintage leads just like the more expensive boutique versions. The set is true Ol' School with three vintage voiced 5.6k single coil pickups similar to those issued in the day.

This set is great for alder instruments with maple or rosewood necks. They deliver incredible vintage warmth with organic tone and depth found in many higher end boutique pickups. The depth of tone will offer crisp bright highs, tight bottom end that bell tone that the pickups of the 50s are known for. These pickups will respond incredibly well to pedals and effects especially the overdrive found in many vintage amplifiers. You can expect your pickups to offer the tone and your amp the gain.

The set is true Classic 60s with three vintage voiced single coil pickups similar to those issued in the day including Gray fiber bobbins and plain enamel wire! The neck is wound to 5.6k, the middle RW/RP at 5.8K and the Bridge is perfectly calibrated at 6.0k.

Pickups will delivery incredibly warm and organic tone much like the heroes of the late 60s. Compared to the Classic Series 50s you can expect these to offer a touch more grit and growl. Respond extremely well to overdrive and are responsive clean with a touch of bite.
